LED Sign Supply Inc. is a leading manufacturer of digital signs and billboards with over 10 years of experience along with the knowledge and expertise to help customers make the best choice for their business.  The Company is a Canadian corporation with offices in Calgary.  The Company has recently negotiated the rights to revolutionary digital signage technology and will be expanding across North America over the coming years.  To help achieve our goals, the Company is currently looking for a Nanotechnology Engineer to work as a member of a team of engineers supporting the development of our Electronic product line

Job Description

The responsibilities will involve primarily working as a member of a team of engineers supporting the development of our Electronic product line. In this role is required to be experienced in organic structures for solar cells, which may include conceptualization, structural design, testing, analysis and refinement, implementation and commercialization.

Main duties include the following:

  • Take a lead role to ensure the success of a product from concept to production release
  • Key contributor to develop and implement new technologies
  • Optimize design concepts to meet performance/reliability requirements and cost targets
  • Design Standards and Guidelines Adherence to LED Sign Supply standards; LED Sign Supply document control, and product development processes; regulatory and industry standards
  • Develop inspection test plans (ITP’s) and supervise execution of engineering tests and ITP’s at a prototype system level or prototype component level.  Write reports to summarize testing and communicate lessons learned and implement lessons learned into the design
  • Participate in conceptual and detailed design reviews to complete milestones in the technology development process
  • Plan and participate in shop and field-testing activities in support of R&D and sustaining engineering projects
  • Catalogue the chronology of all work performed and submit monthly reports for SR&ED
  • Any other such duties as may be required from time to time

Qualifications

  • PhD in nanotechnology engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in research experience in organic solar cells and transistors development
  • Comfortable in learning prototype development using various technique of manufacturing
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, time management and negotiation skills
  • Able to travel abroad
